jaxomlotus : Was Carmiel hit by katyushas during the war?

Yup.
Carmiel was targeted quite abit, about 140 Katyushas hit inside the town and it's surroundings.

I have two videos I took with my video camera at YouTube.com, one showing a "ground zero" location seconds after a small 120mm Katyusha hit, and another one taken from my balcony with air raid sirens blaring throughout the town and about 3 or 4 explosions from the bigger 220mm Katyushas.
Here are the links:

Heh, luckily, since 1992 every house that's built in Israel has to have a fortified room which consists of blast doors and windows from solid metal, with reinforced concrete walls, so that wasn't a problem during that time...
But yeah, I will, thanks :)

Hello, I am Mabbeth. The one, the unholy. The original DigitalGimpling.

I enjoy insect collecting, home brewing, and Slayer fueled bouts of homocidal road rage. I have a gimpy left leg and a tremor in my left ring finger. I am prone to being randomly electrocuted and/or bitten by spiders.

I enjoy the company of incontinent midget ladies. I have 6 kitties, one bunny, and two roommates... one of which appears to be suffering sigmata.

I drink alot of Dr. Pepper.

I hate chicken flavored ramen noodles; screaming children; and the words "eclectic", "Indie" and "shillelagh."

I'm RJ. I'm 47, a supervisor for nuclear reactor refueling (pulling the old sticks out and putting the new ones in) for naval submarines and an avid birdwatcher. I spent 4 years in the quality assurance department as an inspector. Before that I was a marine machinist, sheetrock hanger, florist delivery truck driver, dishwasher, paperboy and lawn mower. I play the trombone and keyboards. I live in beautiful Washington State with my wife of 7 years, my 17 year old daughter, two cats and one dog. Nice to meetcha!

I go by many names, you can decide on any you'd like, I couldn't care less(Maggie works fine though). I'm 15 years old.
Sometimes I can sound wise beyond myself, and others, I can be very childish.
I think I've learned more lessons from 8th grade to freshman year than most people, but they've been good ones.
I make arguments out of small/irrational things.
(Even though I'm young,)I'm confident that I've met the love of my life(without each other, neither of us would be living around now), who I've been /officially/ dating for about 2 months now.
I average about 2 hours of sleep a night.
I can become depressed over almost nothing.
I think I'm becoming addicted to the internet.
I can be arrogant and annoying when I get mad over something and show it.
I love music and like all sorts of 'genres'.
I play the guitar and when I feel I deserve it(or can afford it for that matter), I want to get an Epiphone g-400 guitar.
I talk too much about myself, and in general...

Hello, I'm Tom... or BrownTrout to most of you. Don't ask me why I chose that as a name. Suffice it to say, a Brown Trout is a fish of a different sort (you'll find them in the porcelain pond). Had I to do it all over, I'd probably pick a cool name like Bob or Mr. Sunshine or something.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and now live in Florida. I'm 44, married with 3 kids and two dogs. Like everyone else, I like cats (because they taste like chicken).

I retired from the US Navy a little over 6 years ago. I used to fly helicopters for a living... now I fly a desk in an insurance company as a director of training (which is much safer).

I came here from Worth where I do the occasional chop under the same screen name. It took me a while to get over to Plime because I didn't really understand what it was about (I'm slow that way). Now I'm here and undergoing treatment for Plime addiction.

I came here through W1K, although I have never posted anything there (don't have the confidence to do so).

Uh, I've been a vegetarian for about 7 years now (although I don't think it's awful to eat an animal, it's just awful to torture them)

Um . . . I have 4 cats: Ducky, Lunch, Jericho, and Mouse.

I live with Nick (that's his sn/rn).

Uh. Hungry. Bye bye.

I didn't notice this before, so I guess some of you have been getting to know me before I introduced myself properly.

My name is Sean, I'm 24, married, with the most beautiful two year old daughter in the world (some may say that's subjective, ask me and I'll show you proof.)

I started life on an Air Force base in Oscoda, MI, then moved to another in Victorville, CA, then another in Bellvue, Nebraska, after which my father retired from the Air Force. Then he took another job that required moving (Logistics, mostly furniture home delivery), and we moved to Wheaton, IL (outside of Chicago), and then to Missouri City, TX (outside of Houston). My father continued moving, while my mother and sisters and I stayed in Houston.

After High School, I started working more. A few years later I tried to go to community college for a few semesters, but found myself a little too unfocused to work full time and go to school full time. I love learning new things, and would like to go back to school, but now I have to work that in with my family life.

My father came back into my life about 2 years ago, and I got into working with him. When work dried up for him in Houston, he got an offer in California, and my family and I moved with him to Tracy, CA. Now as he is considering accepting a job offer in Florida, I'm remembering how I hated moving every year or two when I was a child, and realized that I like it even less as an adult, and am trying to find my way back to Houston.

As for my spare time, I like to watch Sponge Bob with my daughter, I lurk around the internet, and play World of Warcraft (damn it's addictive).

Hi, I'm Monkey. I think I explained the nickname in another thread here on Plime. I'm 28, and I live "part-time" in Vancouver (that's home base, I work all over). I am fortunate and happy to have a job that allows me to work in remote and exotic parts of the planet. Sometimes I'm not so happy to have a job that has me working in remote, godforsaken corners of the planet. But usually I'm happy. [any grumpy moods lift with the weather]. Right now I'm training to run a marathon with my mom [her idea].

My favorite thing in the whole world to do is laugh. I also love dogs, skiing, dancing and clear mountain mornings. I tend to make friends and meet interesting people wherever I go, so I never feel lonely unless I want to be alone. My favorite junk food is ketchup chips, or maybe creamy ice cream. But not the two together (yuck!). My favorite vegetable is broccoli because I used to think it was a baby tree, and my favorite fruit is pomegranite because that's just so fun to say.

In closing, I look good in red.

Fellow slacker here - knew the thread existed but just hadn't posted.

As at least one person has guessed from my name, I'm a University of Utah grad. I got my degree in Spanish after living in El Salvador for a couple of years (missionary work).

Since 2000, I'm a PeopleSoft consultant (which may interest icepigs and that's about all). I work exclusively in higher ed, which I like. It means I get to travel and I get to work with schools. Actually, "get to travel" might make it sound like less than it is - I fly away from home every Sunday and back home every Thursday - I'm away from home about 4 days a week every week.

Married, no kids, early 30s.

Haha - true enough. At the risk of alienating all of the parents here, though, I will admit that we've actually made that choice consciously. Whether or not I keep traveling, we don't plan on kids.

Hi, I'm Epia. I'm 22 years old and was born in Frankfort, MI. My family and I lived in the tri-county area for most of our lives, until I met a wonderful Army soldier and moved out to Colorado. Last year we moved down here to Texas (close, but not to close, to his family). I'm currently a housewife/student, working on my Doctorate in Sexology. As of yet we do not have children, but we do have three lovely fluff balls (aka. cats). They are as follows; Mia - Siamese, Sleigh Belle (Slayer, Lady Bug) - Silver Tabby, and Lili (pronounced Lily) - Rough Calico.
