Japan aims to bury greenhouse gas emissions
Japan aims to bury greenhouse gas emissions
Swathes of dirty clouds brood over a coal plant in rural Japan, but scientists are now hoping to send the pollutants the other way, deep into the bowels of Mother Earth.

No one seems to think this is a good idea picked by bingo 1 month ago

I do. CCS technology has been tested for quite some time here, and it looks quite promising. We pulled most of these hydrocarbons from the earth to begin with, and sending them back for storage kind of makes sense.

I agree that Japan is probably not the best place due to it's tectonic instability, but elsewhere I think it's a promising technology.

there are risks involve with this new technology but sometimes we have to risk to know and evaluate its effectivity.

I've learned to completely control my sneezes. Once I had read about what caused them, it was quite easy to alter my breathing in order to quit sneezing.

i was just going to say that - where does gasoline come from!

even if it becomes unstable - i don't think its such a big disaster. an earthquake is disastrous. it can do a hell of a lot of more harm - nuclear plants, chemical factories ...
